The Quarter-Finals of the Legends Cup XIII ended with four armies securing their spot in the Semi-Finals next week. We will be discussing more about these battles and what happened during this second round.
The Quarter-finals of the Legends Cup XIII saw a total of four battles take place. The first battle on Saturday, the 22nd, saw the Army of Club Penguin take on the Templars. This was followed by the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin going up against the People’s Imperial Confederation. On Sunday, the Water Vikings battled against the Special Weapons and Tactics. To end the Quarter-finals weekend, in an intense battle, the Help Force faced the Rebel Penguin Federation.
Army of Club Penguin vs. Templars
The first battle of the Quarter-finals saw a match-up between the newfound allies, the Army of Club Penguin and Templars. Throughout the battle, the Clovers managed to keep a size difference of 45-19, as well as cleaner formations and faster tactics. The Knights did manage, at times, to overcome the Clover’s speed by appearing larger in formations. However, they couldn’t overcome the huge difference in size between the two armies. The Army of Club Penguin was crowned the winner of this battle with a 3-0 score and now progress to the Semi-finals.
Winner: Army of Club Penguin
Elite Guardians vs. People’s Imperial Confederation
The battle between Elite Guardians and the People’s Imperial Confederation already saw huge one-sided predictions which were later proved true, unfortunately for the Confederates. The Elite Guardians were able to enter all rooms first and maintain a huge size difference of 20-30 throughout the battle. The Confederates couldn’t keep up with the Guardians as they were unable to counter their opponent’s size difference. The Elite Guardians showed no mercy as they pulled off fast tactics and clean formations. The Elite Guardians of CP were deemed the winner of this battle with a score of 3-0 and will face the Army of Club Penguin in the Semi-finals.
Winner: Elite Guardians
Water Vikings vs. Special Weapons and Tactics
The third battle of the Quarter-finals saw the Water Vikings face the Special Weapons and Tactics. This battle, like the last two, was declared a one-sided victory for the Vikings, as they managed to cover the Agents as they bombed the rooms. SWAT couldn’t take advantage even with the Water Vikings bunching at times, due to their size. The Agents happened to pick up their pace in speed and tactics in the last two rooms, but the Vikings’ dominant formations made them appear larger and faster in terms of tactics. The Water Vikings managed to earn themselves a ticket to the Semi-finals with a score of 3-0.
Winner: Water Vikings
Help Force vs. Rebel Penguin Federation
The last battle of the Quarter-finals was the most anticipated and the closest by far, which saw the Help Force battle the Rebel Penguin Federation. In this battle, both armies had relatively strong tactics and creative formations, as well as exceptional speed. RPF had the size advantage throughout the first room, but their slightly messier formations allowed Help Force to counter that advantage which resulted in a tie. RPF started to cover Help Force more with big word bubbles in the second room, despite the size advantage being 33-32 for the Helpers. The Rebels managed to stay intact, maintaining cleaner formations and better bombs which gave them the second room. The last room, just like the first room, saw a stalemate between both armies as they gave it their all in the final 10 minutes. The Rebels managed to appear bigger in size while Help Force managed to dominate the center. This resulted in the room being a tie. The Rebel Penguin Federation was crowned as the winner of this battle with a score of 1-0-2[W/L/T]. They go on to face the Water Vikings in the Semi-finals.
Winner: Rebel Penguin Federation
With the Quarter-finals stage ending, all eyes now shift to the Semi-finals which will see 4 armies compete for their spot in the finals of the Legends Cup XIII.
