The People’s Imperial Confederation recently witnessed a new Leader – Ferdthebird1 being inducted into the army. Having joined the army just a few months back, he has indeed soared high with all the work and dedication he has put in.
On March 12, Ferdthebird1 joined the leadership of the People’s Imperial Confederation. Sidie9, the creator of the army, and one of the current Leaders wrote a post on the army’s official website announcing Ferd’s promotion to Leader and stating that the success that the army has seen in their fourth generation would not have been possible without Ferd’s contribution and efforts. Ferd received the Top Recruiter medal soon after he had joined the Confederates as Staff. Sidie also honored him with the Medal of Valor for his leadership efforts during the February Forte and March Madness tournaments.
Ferd joined the army community in June 2020 by being recruited into the Rebel Penguin Federation. After staying in the army as a Colonel (highest rank troop within the army) for 6 months, he joined the Templars on December 23, 2020. During his time with the crusaders, he was able to climb through the ranks quickly and was soon appointed as a Leader in Training there. Just a month after, he became a leader of the AUSIA division of the knights. However, he left the Templars at the beginning of this year during the month of January. Ferd would then go on to join the People’s Imperial Confederation, where he was taken in as Staff after he applied for it. In less than two months, with all his hard work and innumerable efforts, he is now recognized as one of the Leaders of the army.
Club Penguin Armies had the opportunity to talk to Ferd and know more about his promotion, and his future plans for the army.
How does it feel to be a Leader of an army?
It feels amazing and surreal. I have been in the community for a long time now and knew I was gonna be promoted but I was still surprised in a good way when it was announced loll. I am very happy to have gotten leader!
What are your future plans for the army?
I think immediate plans would be to increase the number of events just a little bit. pretty sure we have reached a sort of stable max now and if we are consistent with it I’d love to increase the number of events per week. As part of the bigger picture, I aim to inspire people to recruit and register more and see PIC as a major army one day.
Given that you have been in the army community for a while – what are some of the learning experiences you have had that you would like to incorporate within this army as a Leader?
Oh man, I love you for asking this question. I really learned a lot being in Templars and RPF. I always keep a close eye on any wars or map changes so I have learned strategies and more importantly the amount of determination you need as a leader. You not only have to focus on what you’re doing but make sure it spreads to others as well. I always love to interact with troops and staff and make sure they feel upbeat about contributing to the army. You can ofc never force anyone but if I can inspire people to be active and part of an amazing community that’s all I want.
Can you share your favorite memory/memories of the army, if it’s not too personal?
Yess I think so far it’s when we maxed 15 in an ausia recently. We broke both our revival event maxes that day so it felt great. Other than that my fav experience has been meeting new people and getting to know them better.
If you could name one thing that you look forward to as a leader, what would that be?
I really look forward to helping plan out stuff in the army now that I’m a leader and learning something new every day because we have an awesome leadership team
Where do you see the army going in about a year’s time from now?
Maxing 20+ and hopefully being major or just next to it. A year is a sufficient time to make your army successful and for it to be able to survive even without you, which as we’ve seen is most important.
It is no doubt that Ferd is all in and determined to make the army reach greater heights, under his leadership. He seems to have a lot of plans for the army, and it will certainly be interesting to see what he has to bring to the table! We wish Ferdthebird1, and the People’s Imperial Confederation the very best in all their future endeavors. What can the army community expect from Ferd? How will the army perform under his leadership?
