Mercenaries Juggle Inactivity By Hiring Sachika

Recently, the Mercenaries undergo a quick leadership change with Fudge being fired. As a replacement, Sachika has stepped up to fill the role in hopes of bringing Mercenaries back to stability.

Mercenaries were created on December 18, 2021 by Midnight. Initially closing its doors in June of the same year, the army returned a year later in August 2022. Despite their reopening stirring some ownership drama, the army has been successful in once more solidifying itself as a consistent part of the small-medium army community. Midnight has even snatched a legends nomination for his influence in Mercenaries.

The announcement regarding leadership changes

However, the army has been witnessing inactivity in its leader ranks. To combat this, it was announced that Fudge is to be fired with Zucculente stepping away from the army. In a rather strange turn of events, the army then closed off its servers to visitors. Suddenly, Da Best announced that the army would have a new leader by the name of Sachika move up the ranks. They are a rather newer figure to armies.

A recent even with Sachika present

Club Penguin Armies was able to get in touch with the newly promoted leader.

What experience did you have prior to this promotion?

Been in a few armies like Sinners, Skaters, and Special Weapons and Tactics back in 2020 but at like a low rank though.

Why did you decide to join the Mercenaries?

Decided to join Mercenaries mainly because I hadn’t been active in any armies since 2020 then got invited into Mercenaries, so joined in July/August to get back into [armies] I guess.

What’s the first thing you want to do as leader?

Probably start with leading more events.

What are some goals you’d like to achieve?

Lead Mercenaries to top five on the Top Ten and work on recruiting/registering.

As you can tell by the interview, Sachika appears to be quite inexperienced with leading. It is unclear whether this new dynamic to the Mercenaries’ leadership will be the push they need. Do you think these leadership changes will be what the army needs to make improvements?
