Four Golden Years: Templars Celebrate Their Fourth Anniversary

MAGMA, Templars Empire – On 4th April 2018 the Templars officially launched, marking the start of their journey in the army community. Four years on, despite their controversial past, the army continues to stand strong, having recently achieved multiple milestones. What does the future have in store for the Templars?

On 4th April 2018 Xing created the Templars. Since then, the army has become one of the strongest major armies of the CPPS era, having faced numerous wars, tournaments and scandals along the way. Just eleven days after their creation, the Templars announced their first victory in the ‘First Great Holy War’ against the Elite Guardians. However, the Guardians also claimed victory in this war, leaving the legitimacy of the war under question. Shortly after, the army closed due to internal issues, before reopening on 4th July 2018. Three days after reviving, the Templars were again involved in conflict, this time being the World War VII, where they claimed yet another victory. Since 2018, the knights have continued to be involved in countless wars, against armies such as Help ForceLime Green Army and the Army of Club Penguin. Recently, the Templars have fought multiple wars against the Water Vikings, and at current both armies are in a treaty which is set to expire on 30 April 2022.

In addition, the Templars have participated in countless of tournaments throughout the years, reaching their first Finals back in 2018 with the Christmas Chaos. Since then, they have continued to compete in tournaments, having participated in the 2020 Fjord Frenzy and Champions Cup VI Finals.

The Templars have shown no sign of slowing down, they have held the first place on the weekly Top Ten for eleven weeks since 16th January, where they regularly have an average size of 40+. Furthermore, in the first four months of 2022 they have also won the New Year Bonanza and participated in the Semi-Finals of the AUSIA Arena: Winter Edition and March Madness VII.

CP Army Headquarters reached out to creator Xing and advisor Popcorny, for an interview regarding Templars reaching such an important milestone.

Congratulations on four years of the Templars! How do you feel about such an achievement?

Xing: It feels amazing, I never thought I could do this when I was 13.

Popcorny: I am over the moon to have been a part of all 4 years of Templar history and have met so many great people like Freedomist, CCRocket, Velia, Racecar and that other guy Brownpen I think is his name.

What is your favourite memory from your time in within in the Templars?

Xing: Beating Pirates in Fjord Frenzy or Beating RPF in a raid in 2018.

Popcorny: My favourite memory is when we lost to Silver Empire in Round 2 of the 2020 Beach Brawl tournament. I laughed quite uncontrollably. However every tournament defeat really does entertain me. Better luck next time am I right.

What motivates you to keep the Templar legacy going?

Xing: There’s always something better waiting to happen.

Popcorny: The prospect of another war “victory” drives us all forward to achieve our goals. Everyone really wants to see our leaders get the recognition they deserve, so I can’t wait for the Templar team to go 0-24 in this years legends vote.

What do you hope to achieve in Templar’s future?

Xing: I hope to achieve more war victories and greater sizes for the Templars in the future.

Popcorny: I’d love to see Templars finally conquer the map and defeat the Black Ice Alliance in an epic war that’ll last hopefully 1-3 days. I’d also like to see Elsa be promoted to National Chancellor.

Both Xing and Popcorny have made it clear that from day one the Templars have had one goal in mind, domination. They have shown just how determined they are to achieve this, by joining their first war weeks after creation, constantly participating in tournaments and wars, in addition to holding first place for eleven weeks. We would like to congratulate the Templars on their fourth anniversary and wish the army all the best for the future.
