Get To Know Your CPAHQ Staff – Pranav, Editor in Chief

KLONDIKE, CP Army Headquarters – Welcome back to the column “Get to Know Your CPAHQ Staff!” For the second edition, I have chosen Pranav to interview. Pranav is an Editor in Chief for Club Penguin Army Headquarters. Lets take a look at his career in armies so far and what he has to say to the future staff of CPAHQ.

Pranav joined armies on March 28th, 2020, where he was recruited into the Ice WarriorsHe then found himself as a Leader in Training over at the Janitors.  However, he soon became a part of the Skateboarders from October to November 2022. Eventually he left the Skateboarders and joined the Dark Champions as Second in Command. He has held Higher Command positions in armies like Elites, Fire Warriors, Trojans, and the Templars. He has no army affiliations and currently works for the Club Penguin Army Headquarters media team.

Pranav’s promotion to Editor – February 1st, 2022

Pranav is currently one of the Editor in Chiefs at Club Penguin Army Headquarters. He joined the staff team as a reporter on January 4th, 2022. He was then promoted to Editor on February 1st, 2022. On March 17th, he became Editor in Chief. He is also a Judge in Training and a part of the Top Ten Committee.

Pranav’s Promotion to Editor in Chief – March 17th, 2022

Club Penguin Army Headquarters decided to reach out to Pranav to see what he has to say about his experience here on the media team.

So, what is it like being an Editor in Chief for CPAHQ?

I honestly don’t see much of a difference between being an Editor and Editor in Chief. Maybe it could be that I feel more inclined to be “neutral” or unbiased towards any army because Editor in Chief feels like a bigger role. Other than that, though, I’d say that it didn’t change any of my work ethic in CP Army Headquarters or in real life.

Do you have any goals to achieve within CPAHQ? If so, what are they?

Well, I’m trying my hardest to achieve a higher position in CP Army Headquarters, and I’m also trying to be able to do things without asking about everything… But I’m not the ambitious type, I want to be able to get out good news fast, and I want to make sure that CP Army Headquarters’ news quality keeps improving. There’s nothing else important to me in CPAHQ other than making sure we entertain our audience and make sure their opinions/suggestions are heard.

Do you have any favorite memories within the community?

The community, hmm… I’ve been in many different armies in the community, to be honest, all significantly different. I could talk about the Marvel week in Fire Warriors, the Fire Warriors leadership stint, the jackbox games in Elites, the hunger games simulators in Ice Warriors, or even the recruiting in Dark Champions/Elites. Possibly, my favorite memory would be the infinite Staff of the Week in Elites after it shut down. No individual army matters to me deeply; instead, I want to make sure that people in the community that wants to stay enjoy it and its news.

Do you have any encouraging words for future CPAHQ staff?

Of course, I want future reporters to know that you don’t have to know writing to start writing. Even in January, I barely got green Readability or SEO when I started reporting. Now, I’m Editor in Chief. Your skill will grow with more practice and more maturity. It’s a process and art, not a skill that depends on intelligence or natural talent. Every reporter hired already has immeasurable talent; the score doesn’t matter. Only the feedback does, and to become better, YOU have to follow the input. Make sure that you’re calm and that you are confident before reporting. Not egotistical, just secure. Good luck to everyone, and I wish to see more reporters in the future for any organization or league (although wink, wink, CPAHQ might be hiring). The community’s entertainment and news survival depend on you out there.

In the short period that Pranav has been in the staff positions, he has accomplished a lot of things. Even with the month-to-month promotions, he has been an essential key to the staff team of CPAHQ. He has achieved so much in the army community, and we can’t wait to see all he has in store for the CPAHQ team. We wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors.
