SNOW STORM, CP Army Network Headquarters – The Wet Army Penguins announced a new leader just a few days after the end of their most recent war. What led to this promotion and what will happen next?
Also known as Toxic Storm, Sauron is a familiar name in the Club Penguin army community. With past experience leading several armies, including the Shadow Troops and the Secret Service, Sauron went on to lead the Wet Army Penguins alongside Pandor. Due to their efforts for the army, Sauron received the title of Legend in the Wet Army Penguins, and ultimately retired.
The Wet Army Penguins have been active since their foundation on August 9th, 2021 by Pandor and Sauron as a meme army. Since then, they sat close to the edge of the weekly Top Tens. Despite the army’s relatively short time in the community, it won the Best Meme Army award last summer. Additionally, the army participated in multiple wars against the Special Weapons and Tactics, the Eclipse of Club Penguin, and the Trojans. On November 8th, the Trojans entered a force treaty with the Wet Army Penguins, which ended their current war.

Following the war’s conclusion, on November 9th, Pandor announced Sauron’s induction as the Wet Army Penguins’ seventh leader. Sauron’s past experience leading the Wet Army Penguins will help the army prosper, according to the statement released by Pandor in the Wet Army Penguins’ Discord server.

Club Penguin Army Network reached out to Sauron for an interview about their new promotion, and what it means for the future.
Firstly, congrats on becoming leader! What does this promotion mean to you?
Sauron: It Just means I’ll be getting back to action in cpa and having fun while at it, nothing too complicated really.
What impact did your previous CPA experience have on the decision?
Sauron: Well some of my old friends who I worked with in the past like Monstah and Pandor are doing a good job with the army, so it wasn’t really a difficult decision to work with them again.
What do you wish to accomplish as Leader?
Sauron: WAP has done a lot of things lately, maybe I’m gonna lead WAP to great victories, and have enemy penguins whining about it like usual after we crush them? Who knows.
Lastly, do you have anything else you’d like to add?
Sauron: WAP is the home of all penguins who would like to have fun, troll and listen to some sweet nightcore music, because apparently it’s a thing now.
