KLONDIKE, CPA Headquarters – The Golden Troops, a successful army with a well-known history, is coming back once more for a tenth generation. With new leadership and a new staff team, they are wishful for a better generation than their 9th. What are they planning on accomplishing this time?
The Golden Troops are a legendary army, with many army legends having led them. They were created on March 20, 2010, in a merge between the Club Penguin Sun Troops and the Golden Warriors. Both armies were powerhouses before the merge. Due to this, the Golden Troops were a major powerhouse in Club Penguin Army Central, ranking within the top 5 many times. They eventually went through many other generations throughout the original Club Penguin, all of which have been successful. Frozy, Satchmo, Rach, TheMightyA, Pina, Aggie, Katie, and Fluffy all founded the previous ninth generation, of which five still play some role in the Golden Troops.
On March 5th, 2021, they announced their plan for revival on March 20th. They hired a new staff team including changes such as changing the advisory and leading team, with Kattle11 being the sole leader for now. Their post stated the following reason for their revival:
The time has come to finally announce the revival of the great Golden Troops of Club Penguin. For many months now, Golden Troops have been too far from greatness and not where they should be. For too long, we have been maxing low numbers of less than 20 almost every event. Well, that changes today. Today I hereby announce the return of one of the greatest armies to be seen on Club Penguin for a tenth and highly successful generation

CP Army Headquarters was also able to get an interview with their leader, Kattle:
CP Army HQ: What made you decide to come back for a tenth generation?
Kattle11: We felt that when we shut down it wasn’t what we wanted, but to keep everyone as safe as possible, so we decided to reopen after a temporary hiatus for two months.
CP Army HQ: What is your plan to come out of issues faced in the ninth generation?
Kattle11:We plan to increase our recruiting this generation and aim to have a better troop retention ratio and some other fun things we have planned.
CP Army HQ: What are your goals for the tenth generation of a very well-known army in CPA history?
Kattle11: To last longer and be bigger than we were our last gen; increasing our maxes and growing our community overall.

From the point of view of the current Golden Troops’ Leadership and Advisory, the army is destined to do well yet again. They wish to increase their maxes from the 9th generation, as well as increase their fun activities. They have high hopes for this generation, as well as many changes that they wish to enact soon. With their event on March 20th, they mark a new age in the Golden Troops and hope to be just as successful as they have been since the founding of the army.
